duyong has been and will always remain a zlg interior project whose concept was derived directly on the premise of celebrating local craftsmanship. The boat building industry and talent of the fishing villages inspired us to borrow aesthetics and materiality of that heritage for the restaurant, originally planned for the monsoon cup held annually in east coast of malaysia. In seeing how we can add value to the place, we borrowed and played on the moral and culturlw heritage of the fisherman village, thereby enhancing economic investments of the client by promoting the fishing culture and benefitting the region by propagating more restaurants of this quality in support of the monsoon cup.
