Every room is as important as the other, even if it’s our humble bathroom. Indeed the neglected hallways and service corridors and utilitarian spaces become central to some of zlgdesign’s ideas. Calvin B and Morten B are two such projects, where bathrooms take centre stage and become the main idea for the house. Details are incorporated into these spaces to make them incredibly simple but engaging.
“We all spend a substantial amount of time in a shower washing up, but unlike how we would be towards our decorated bedrooms, we conveniently chose to entirely ignore the architecture or the design potential of our bathrooms. The bathroom is where we have opportunities to embrace and celebrate water as it should be, for want of a pleasureable life…” Huat LIM.
